Giving It All

When it comes to giving there seems to be only two kinds of people, those who give only if they get something in return (conditional giving), and those who will give regardless of whether they get something in return or not (unconditional giving). The former are people who give out of what they have, and the latter are people who give out of what they are. Which of the two would you say pleases the Heavenly Father? Which of the two best describes you?

Let me put it another way, If you say to someone, "I will love you only if you love me back.” you are giving out of expedience - out of what you have. On the other hand if you can say to someone I love you even if you don't love me back, you are giving out of essence - out of what you are, follow? I'll ask you again, which of the two best describes you? Which of the two is closer to the Father's heart?

I'm 100% convinced God the Father wants those called by His Name to give out of what they are, a surrendered soul, a living sacrifice, an emptied vessel filled with Him. When the Father sent salvation into the world wrapped in human flesh, He was giving not out of what He has, as if salvation were somehow something separate and detached from Himself, He gave of what He IS! God IS Salvation!

And the Father wrapped that salvation in skin and gave that salvation a name and that name is Ya’Shuah, as it is pronounced in the original Hebrew texts. There is salvation in no other because God Himself is that salvation.

That's the message of the Gospel. Mankind stuffed up and God personally came to the rescue. He gave HIMSELF. Just drink that in for a moment. To a hopelessly lost humanity God the Father gave what He IS. He gave Himself. That's why Paul wrote in Colossians 2:9 that in Him, Ya’Shuah, dwells the FULLNESS of the Godhead bodily. That word "Godhead" doesn't mean God has multiple heads nor is it talking about the trinity. It is the Greek word, "theotes" {theh-ot'-ace} and it simply means, "the state of being God." When people receive this gift of the Son they receive God Himself because God Himself IS salvation. Isaiah 43:11 reads, "I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour". Psalm 62:7 reads "In God is my salvation". Isaiah said says, "God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD Yahweh is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation. (Isaiah 12:2). The word translated "salvation" there is the Hebrew word . . . ‘yashůwah’ from which we, in a round about way, get the Anglicized name, "Jesus".

Giving, (whatever that might be) out of what you are as opposed to what you have is a divine principal. An example set by the Father, lived out in the Son for we who are His to imitate. So when someone knocks on the door of your life so to speak, looking for a donation, don't just give to them out of what you have, give to them out of what you are - a child of the King.

The Heavenly Father did for you!
